The Anchor provides temporary accommodation with mandatory support programming, intended to help participants develop the life skills needed to obtain and retain permanent, sustainable independent housing — on the 3rd floor of the historic SCITS building in Sarnia.
Submitting an application does not guarantee admission or occupancy.

The Anchor is a structured support program first, with temporary accommodation provided as one part of it. Each participant has an individualized Transition Plan built around case management, life-skills programming, and housing-readiness work toward permanent independent housing.
Continued occupancy is conditional upon meaningful participation in case management, transition planning, life-skills programming and other assigned Program activities.
The Anchor serves adults who require temporary transitional accommodation and structured support while working toward permanent, sustainable independent housing. The Program is substance-free by design — not a requirement of treatment — and open to adults (18+) able to live independently with minimal day-to-day support.
Opening Summer 2026. Applications are reviewed through an intake interview and an eligibility and suitability assessment. Submitting an application does not guarantee admission or occupancy.

Admission is not automatic, and is not available solely because a person can pay or because a room is available. Every placement requires:
“A stable place to call home, while you plan your next step.
One step at a time.”
